you are in. now here is what to do.

mooney singing

first up, thank you

you said yes to testing mooney before it goes live and that genuinely matters. this is not a mass email. the closed testing group is small on purpose. every person in it was hand picked or reached out themselves.

mooney is a voice first expense tracker. you talk, it logs. the whole idea started because every other expense app we tried required too many taps, too many screens, and too much effort for something that should take three seconds. we noticed most people just stop logging after a week. so we built something where you literally say "spent forty bucks on dinner" and you are done.

but right now it is sitting in google play's waiting room. and the only way it gets out is if real people use it for real things over the next two weeks.

that is where you come in.

if you have not opted in yet

the closed testing track on google play is only open for a couple of days. if you missed the opt in window or want access, just shoot us an email and we will sort it out.

request access

once you are opted in, the app shows up in the play store. install it and run through the onboarding. seriously, do not skip it. it sets up your categories, currency, and voice preferences. skipping it will make the app feel weird later.

what you get for free

full mooney pro, seven days, no card needed. everything unlocked.

that includes:

after the trial, pro features lock but all your data stays. free tier still works for manual logging, categories, budgets, insights.

the one thing we actually need from you

google requires real usage from real testers before they approve an app for production. not fake engagement. not one time installs. they want to see people opening the app, using features, and coming back the next day. over 14 consecutive days.

here is what helps the most:

this is not busywork. we genuinely want you to use mooney like it is your real expense tracker. real spending data helps us find bugs, improve the voice parsing, and figure out what is actually useful vs what nobody touches.

plus if google sees healthy engagement numbers on the first pass, mooney goes live for everyone. if not, the 14 day clock resets and we do it all over again. we would really like to not do it all over again.

when you find bugs

you will find bugs. the voice might parse "coffee" as "toffee." a button might not do what you think it should. something might crash for no obvious reason.

all of that is fine. that is literally why you are here.

when something breaks, tell us. the more detail the better but even "this thing is broken" is useful. we would rather get ten vague bug reports than zero detailed ones.

reach us at admin@octyn.co or just reply to whatever message brought you here.

screenshots help. screen recordings are even better. we read and reply to everything.

you can also report bugs directly through our website.

report a bug or request a feature

ideas welcome too

if you think of something mooney should do, or something it does badly, or something that annoyed you, tell us that too. half the features in the current build came from early feedback. the other half came from us being annoyed at our own app, which is a surprisingly good product strategy.

what happens after 14 days

if the numbers look good, mooney goes live on google play for everyone. you will have been part of the reason that happened. no plaque, no trophy, just the knowledge that you helped ship something before anyone else saw it.

and if mooney is not for you, that is fine too. tell us why. honest feedback from someone who tried it and bounced is worth more than a five star review from someone who used it once.

we built this because we wanted an expense tracker that did not feel like homework. hopefully you will feel the same way.

go log a coffee. we will be here.
